The Messier Object Index is a website that provides pictures of astronomical bright objects that be easily observed with binoculars or amateur telescopes. 

The American Civil War Photo Gallery provides all kinds of pictures from the civil war era.

The link above is to the Wright brothers and their flights in Wisconsin. Many images of Native American life in Wisconsin could also be found on this website, including scanned copies of originals documents from Wisconsin’s early days as a state. 

http://www.nasaimages.org/ This is an amazing website full of real and otherwise images of space, planets, moons, and stars. Many pictures were taken with the Hubble Telescope. Images that are not real are trying to depict the real difference between two objects; like the Earth and moon or the Earth and Sun. One can cruise through the different image libraries for anything specific. 

http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/images/pglossary/index.php#galleries  This website shows images of volcanoes around the world. This specific link allows you to choose which major volcanoes to view. The home page even allows you to check out live webcams of volcanic action.

Ancient Biblical Images: http://www.bible-history.com/biblehistoryonline_ancientimages.php Pictures of ancient civilizations that interacted with the Israelites are found in this collection.  Actual artifacts from these civilizations are also included.
